Weekend FUN in Dallas April 22- 23rd , 2017



Many fun events happening this weekend in Dallas and you will want to be busy. I really like taking the kids out this weekend in Spring. Spring in Dallas is great because the weather is perfect and being outdoors is the best. I have a list of some activities going in Dallas and Ft. Worth.



1) Irving Canal Festival

 The Irving Canal Fest is a family friendly event that you will want to be apart of. I really like to go to the canals in Irving because of the pretty views. Its a great place for you to discover what Irving has to offer. I really like the many vendors that will be at the fest lining the canals. You will feel like you are in Italy as you are surrounded by vendors and yummy food. A local favorite Steel City pops will serve yummy Popsicle and also great live bands will be keeping the crowds excited and happy. Come with your friends and family and have some fun at the canals. 


2) Earth Day at Fair Park

Date  April 21st – Sunday, April 23rd.

Time: 10 am to 6 pm. 
Admission: FREE

 We love Earth Day in Texas. It truly is one of the biggest events. Earth Day in Texas has tons of information on living a sustainable life. I really liked going around the Fair Park grounds and looking and learning from different business helping others learn a new way to live. Ii is fun to see the kids go the event because they have a special place geared to kids. They have areas for painting, digging and use kid safe products to replicate at home. I know you will like this event because you will want to improve the way you live,


3). Earth Day Extravengaza @ The Dallas Arboretum

Admission: $13-18
Time: 9am - 5pm

The Arboretum is one of the many places that we love to visit as a family. We have an annual pass because its a place we like to visit often, They Rory Myers Garden is one of favorite place. The children's garden is very pretty and have many educational activities, This weekend the Children's gardens will have something for the kids and adults to enjoy. I suggest that you bring some water and pack a simple lunch to enjoy at the gardens.



4) Japanese Garden Spring Festival

Date: Saturday April 22-23, 2017
Time: 10am to 5pm
Admission: Adults $8 
                   Children (4-12yrs) $4 and kids under 3 Free
Location: 3300 Japanese Garden Lane, Ft. Worth, TX, 76107

 The Japanese Garden Spring Celebration is one event that will have a lasting memory. This experience of learning more about the Japanese culture will be special. I  am all about learning and teaching my kids about different cultures, This event is going to have many traditional Japanese lessons that you will want to know and learn about. One activity I know that I would enjoy is the tea ceremony and traditional Japanese dance. I know that my kids would like to see the martial arts too. Come out with your family and enjoy this awesome experience  and come away leaning more about the Japanese culture.

5) The Ft. Worth Main Street Festival!

Date: Now till 23rd.
Admission: FREE
Time: 10am - 11pm

This is the largest Art and Music Festival in Texas. I have yet to experience this festival and I really want to check it out. The festival will have music all day throughout the festival. The line up looks really good and you will need to click the link for the list of bands. I really like that this festival is family friendly, the kids will have something for them as well. This weekend in Ft. Worth will be cooler weather so this would be a great festival to spend the day at.
