Christmas Tree Farm!

So you want to go to the country and chop down your own Christmas tree?  I have the place for you!

Terrell, Tx

1. Take the whole family and friends to the Walls Family Tree Farm in Terrell. This is a 45 minute drive outside Dallas. What I like about this drive is that you are out of the city and in the country in a short amount of time. We were invited by some friends who make it a tradition to go with their family every year. When we got to the farm we were so impressed with the beauty of the property. You will enjoy the play area perfect for pictures and of course to let the kiddos loose. You will enjoy the snacks that they sell, cider, popcorn and of  course nachos. The kids will have a blast at the tree farm

2. There will be a tractor on site that will pick you up and go out and cut down a Christmas tree. I really like that about the whole experience. Going out with your kids to look for a tree and feeling proud to get the perfect one. We love coming out to the Walls family tree farm. Make it a Tradition in your home!  * Remember to bring CASH

Maxwell & Grey at the T Shop

( Stacey from Maxwell & Gray and her sweet boy!)

Who doesn't like getting together with like minded folks to chit chat? You never know what you may discover to have in common. Thank you Stacey for hosting this event with such a fun purpose. Moms and their kids got to make some fun crafts for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Enjoy these pictures from this past Saturday's event at The T Shop.

Ollie is the cutest kid!
This sweet boy, Nathan, had a blast climbing up and down the stairs with my boys!

My boys could not get enough of stamping cards for Thanksgiving place cards!

This was my first time in Lakewood and I want to come back again and explore some more. On my way out I saw a few interesting spots and I know where to start my next adventure. Make sure you come out to The T Shop and I am sure you will find some cool gifts for the holiday season.

Be sure to check back with in_DFW next week for my best of the best events going on Dallas that you don't want to miss. This is just a sneak peak into the fun going in the Ft. Worth and Dallas.

Dallas, TX

1. Downtown Dallas is starting this new theme of getting into the holiday spirit. Downtown Wanderland is a family friendly experience in where the city is decorated in pretty decorations and will have many participating restaurants ( CBD Provisions, Americano and Dallas Fish Market), shops ( Neiman Marcus),  and events going on Now thru December 31st. I really like this new concept, because sometimes downtown Dallas will become a ghost town after 5pm and on the weekends. I am used to busy downtown's and I think this will bring a lot of familes out from the suburbs to downtown and experience what the city has to offer. So I recommend going out one of these days and enjoy some pop up shops, local foods and of course some good company! We are finding out that downtown Dallas has a lot to offer so get out and explore. I know we will be out there with the kids too.

Ft. Worth, TX

1. All I can think about this season is getting out to some parades this holiday season. Why not just kick it off with a parade this Sunday in Downtown Ft. Worth. The Ft. Worth Parade of Lights has been around since 1983 and the tradition is still alive in Ft. Worth. This parade will have over 100 floats coming down the street with many different and amazing designs. I know this will be one parade you will not want to miss out on. I suggest arriving early to avoid traffic congestion and just to relieve some of that stress. Parking garages will be offering FREE parking so be sure to get there early and have a blast at the parade.  The parade starts at 6pm-9pm.

Festival Season seems to stick around in the Dallas Metroplex!

Carrollton, TX

1. The Festival at The Switchyard is showcasing a good line up of fun and entertainment. This is fast becoming an event you don't want miss. There will be lots of food to eat, kid friendly activities with crafts, face painting, and a story time. Everyone in the family will have something to enjoy. The music line up is going to end with the group 3 Doors Down, all you 90's fans will appreciate the talent. Head on down to Carrollton for some fun.
* The DART green line stops right in downtown Carrollton, so this will help to minimize the hassles of parking.

Irving, TX

1.  Come out for the Unite our Troops Veterans Day Celebration this Sunday in Downtown Irving from 10am-4pm. This is a great community event that will bring together families in the area. This event will have a children's patriotic costume contest, salute the veterans ceremony and an orchestra to close out the event. Event volunteers  will also be collecting kits to send overseas. follow the link for items that will be accepted, here are some examples, deodorant, eye drops, disposable razors, lip balm and etc. What a great way to help those overseas by showing support for their service.
