Halloween with a fun twist!

Grapevine Mills Mall

1. The Grapevine Mills Mall  this Thursday 29th will try to set a Guinness World Record to carve the most pumpkins. This is a great time to head out to the mall and be apart of something fun and record breaking. There is a $5 charge to enter, you will be provided with a large pumpkin and crafts tools! Legoland will be onsite to show off their brick or treat fun! *Please follow the Link for times and registration.

Dallas/ Decks in the Park

1. This is always a fun treat in October. End this fun Decks in the Park event this Thursday 29th at the Klyde Warren Park. Be prepared to come dressed in your costumes to dance the night away. Food trucks will be on site and of course some good company! Have a blast and get in some good moves while you are there.

Dallas/ Design District

1. Head over to the Design District for some fun with the whole family. This is a family friendly event with a lot fall attractions. The kids will have fun at the pumpkin patch, crafts and lots more. Food trucks as well as local vendors will be on sight! A fun event in the Design District.

1. Enjoy some yummy pancakes at IHOP. On October 30th from 7am-10pm enjoy a FREE pancake!


1. Enjoy a $3 Boo-rito at Chipotle on Halloween Sat. 31st. Come dressed in your costumes but add an Unnecessary additive to your look. Just a fun promotion going at Chipotle. The fun begins at 5pm-close.

October / 23-25 / 2015 University Park- Dallas - Pumpkin Patches

University Park/Dallas, TX

1.  Head out this Friday 23rd to Goar Park in University Park for the outdoor movie event of Back to Future. This is the year that was predicted in the movie 2015. Go and check out this fun event with the kids and also see what scenes in the movie did come to reality.


1. This Saturday 25th, check out what's going at the Trinity River Wind Festival. This will be held at the park located near the Margaret Hunt Bridge. This will be a wonderful event to go and check the many different kite teams in the area. Be on the look out for tons of family friendly events going on too. This will be an event you will want to check out. Who doesn't like a great kite festival.

2. While you on are on that side of town, check out the Trinity Groves. This food scene has so many options. I will recommend checking out Off-Site Kitchen for so yummy burgers and Kool -Aid drink. What a great time to unwind from the fun at the kite festival.

Latino Cultural Center

1. Check out the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas for the DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS FESTIVAL. This event starts on Saturday 24th from 10am- 4pm. There will be a movie showing of The Book of Life starting at 1pm. Be present for all the crafts, face painting and etc. What a great way to celebrate a fun holiday! 

Bass Pro  Grapevine/Garland, TX

1. Check out the Bass Pro this Saturday 24th. This will be a great chance to get a kick start on the Halloween fun. This Saturday the 24th the kids will get a chance to take FREE Halloween pictures, crafts and much more. The event will run through the 31st of October. MY family is all about fun at the Bass Pro shops.

1. This Friday Oct.16 in Downtown Dallas is where you want to be with your kids. Dallas Aurora is a bi-annual event to experience LIVE art demonstrations all in bright beautiful lights. The Dallas Arts District will be completely transformed into a ginormous light display scene. We as a family are always looking for some ways to to enrich our kids lives with the art culture. This is an event you don't want to miss. ! The Aurora event will start at 7pm - 11pm at Klyde Warren Park. We always park on Ross Street it is a block away from the Klyde Warren Park and all the museums downtown Dallas. Hope to see you all out Friday night!

Grapevine, TX 

1. Monarch butterfly migration at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens is going on this Saturday Oct.17 at 10am -2pm. This is a FREE family friendly event. There will be a butterfly costume parade before the release of the butterflies, registration begins at 8:45 am. After the parade the staff at the Botanical Garden will start the release of the butterflies beginning at 10:45am. be sure to stay for fun events going on throughout the gardens. Refreshments will be onsite to purchase. 

Ft. Worth

1. Check out the Kimbell Art Museum this Saturday Oct. 17th at 1pm-4pm. This is a FREE family-friendly event that will showcase the beauty of Italy. This event is called the BELLA-ITALIA Festival and will be another great opportunity for the kids to delve into art and be mused. We love art and it is the best when the kids can learn in a way that they will understand.

/October 9-10, 2015/ Southlake and Ft. Worth

The recent weather in the metroplex has been perfect. Are you ready for some heat relief and for some great fall fun? This weekend in FT. Worth and Southlake will have can't-miss outdoor weather activities for the whole family! 

Ft. Worth, TX

1. Check out Friday on the Green in Ft. Worth! This is a family friendly event with live music entertainment and of course FREE face painting. This event is on the south side of FT. Worth at the Magnolia Green Park. This event will have food trucks and local eateries represented as well. Of course, bring your blankets and sit out and enjoy the community of friends and local talents found here in Ft. Worth.  

Southlake, TX

1. This Saturday, Southlake Town Square is hosting the Master Works Music Series in the Town Square (7:30 pm- 9:00pm). This is a family friendly event at the Family Park in town square. This will be a great event to enjoy with the family especially with the weather being so beautiful!  *bring your blankets or lawn chair!

2. I would recommend having dinner before the concert at Five Guys in the town square. Five Guys is a winner with my family and I am sure that a great burger will satisfy everyone in yours.
