Labor Day Weekend Itinerary

Labor Day weekend is here, have a staycation and explore new fun in DFW. Here is what I recommend doing with family and friends this weekend.

1. This Friday is the last hurrah at the Grapevine Lake for Summer Bash Fireworks. Check out the last fireworks show of the summer at Oak Groove Park in Grapevine. Bring blankets, coolers with snacks and don't forget the bug spray. A great way to kickoff the Labor Day weekend this Friday night.

Knox District

Wow. Take the kids down to Knox District for some fun places for the kids to explore. I really enjoy the little shops and the fun restaurants that are family friendly.

1.Check out Highland Park Pharmacy for some simple meals like a grill cheese sandwich and a shake. That would be a easy meal that everyone will enjoy.

2.Stop by the Wild About Harry's for some custard on the way back to the car.

White Rock Lake

1.Enjoy $5 at the Dallas Arboretum *parking $8 online purchase. Enjoy some fun Labor Day activities such as live music, stroller parade and petting zoo. Check the link for fun starting on Saturday!

1.Enjoy a water gun fight  at 2:00-3pm at the Klyde Warren Park. Bring your super soakers and bathing suit and have a fun time with your friends and family. *No water balloons allowed.

2.Enjoy food at the food trucks and check out the burgers at Relish on site at the Klyde Warren Park.
