August / 24 - 30, 2015 / Ft. Worth

Two Adventures in Ft. Worth.

1. First take the Trinity Railway Express TRE and ride the Double Decker bus to Ft. Worth this  weekend. Get off at the stop(ITC)station. You will enjoy a morning / afternoon walk to the Water Gardens adjacent to Ft. Worth convention center. The water feature is absolutely breath taking. We took the boys one summer and they were just amazed at how much water was flowing and how big the water fall was. This is a place you will need to cross off your bucket list. Great place to bring guests from out of town.

Sundance Square

2. If you are getting a late start to your morning and prefer an evening in Ft. Worth check out Sundance Square. This past weekend was my first time going to this fun place to hang with the family. We opted to eat at Taco Diner and had a great dinner. The feel of the restaurant was very Miami chic and great atmosphere. The best part of the restaurant is sitting out on the patio and watch the beautiful water fountains synchronized to music out on the square.

Dallas Arboretum- Till Midnight at the DMA and Nasher!

Downtown  Dallas

1. This Friday go to Downtown Dallas for the fun happening at the Dallas Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Center. Both locations will be open till midnight! I recommend going to the Nasher for the outdoor screening of The Lego Movie. Before the movie there will be a band playing music, so bring a blanket and kick off your shoes and enjoy an outdoor movie with family and friends.

1. Rise and shine and take the family to the Hypnotic Donuts for some breakfast before going to the Dallas Arboretum. This way you can have a chicken biscuit or pick and choose some yummy donuts. Be sure to pick out the Elvis donut it's my favorite!

2. Yay for Dollar Days at the Dallas Arboretum. This is the best time to head out to the Arboretum for the cheapest ticket in town. The kids will enjoy the Rory Meyers Children Adventure Garden for an additional $2 charge. The children's garden is very interactive and plenty of fun all around. I would suggest to bring a change of clothes because of the water features around the garden. Pack some sun screen a lite lunch and of some water. Enjoy this summer and get in the fun before school starts!

3. Lunch! Head over to The Lot Dallas which is only a few blocks away from the Arboretum. The kids will enjoy some more play time running around and making new friends. Parents enjoy some great food as well!
Hope to see you there!
