1. Decks in The Park! This family-friendly event is now back at Klyde Warren Park for another great summer series beginning this Thursday, April 30th. Decks in the park is an outdoor music event with guest DJ's that are known to spin amazing beats. My family and I look forward to this event and are always ready to party in downtown Dallas.  Bring a blanket, a picnic basket or explore the delicious offerings from the local food trucks and chill out to some great dancing music.

Richardson, TX

1. Art Festival time at the Cottownwood Park in Richardson. If you missed out on last weekend's festivals you will want to make it to this one. Many amazing works of art will be showcased alongside some great music and food. This event will have both Free admission and parking. Make the time and enjoy the outdoors and embrace the art of so many talented artists.

Ft. Worth, TX

1. May Fest in Ft. Worth is going on April 30th- May 3rd. This is a family - friendly event. May Fest is an annual event in Ft. Worth that is hosted near the Trinity River at Trinity Park. There will be carnival rides, tons of food, and they are bringing back the paddle boats this year. What a great way to be outdoors in Ft. Worth. There is an Admission Fee for adults and children. Week of / April 20-26, 2015 / Southlake, Denton, Farmers Branch


1. Art in the Square in Southlake will take place April 24-26. This is a FREE event that will showcase art from talented artist. This is a family friendly event and the will benefit the local charities in the area. Food vendors will be onsite and art that you will want to purchase. FUN in Southlake. 


1. Denton Arts and Jazz Festival will take place on April 24-26. Head up north on the 35 to Denton and take in the amazing jazz scene. This is a family friendly event that will cater to everyone. The festival will have a children's art area as well as activities and food. Enjoy the local vendors selling unique arts and crafts. Also there will be several stages with local jazz bands performing various styles of music. There will be plenty of great music and the event is FREE.  


1. Earth Day Texas at Fair Park will go on April 24-26. This event is FREE. There will be many exhibits that will have a lot of information from planting a sustainable garden, electric cars and information on how to keep our earth a clean place to live. Be sure to grab the event schedule and plan your day accordingly so you don't miss out on any of the exhibits that excite you. Be sure to check out the dancing waters while at Fair Park.

DATE NIGHT/ Farmers Branch

1. Grab your lawn chair or a blanket for a well deserved Date Night. The city of Farmers Branch will host a dinner and a movie outdoors Saturday April 25th. There will be food trucks onsite and the featured film will be St. Vincent (PG-13). Childcare will be available through the Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center for a fee of $10/child. Enjoy this night with your Bae. Gates open at 6:30pm

Week of / April-2015 / Spiral Diner / Dallas- Ft. worth

Take a break from the usual meal that your family eats and try out the Spiral Diner. Two locations in Dallas and Ft. worth. This is a Vegan/ Vegetarian diner that offers a variety of yummy choices.  The selection is not intimidating at all, just a twist on classic meals that offer a alternative choice in meats and cheeses. The wraps are great choices, but always save room for desert because the chocolate cake, if available, is a must try.

Ft. Worth

1. Take the Family out to the Ft. Worth Main Street Arts Festival. The Arts Festival will begin on the 9th and runs through the 12th. Admission is FREE and there will be food on sight to purchase. This event will be a great to see Main Street come alive with with all kinds of art.

1.  Eco Coppell Earthfest will be going on at the Town Center Plaza in Coppell. This event is FREE and will have hands on demonstrations of ways to keep your city and home Eco friendly.  There will be a plant sale, environmental booths and kids arts and crafts. A great way to get in the spirit for the upcoming Earth Day.


1. Grab your lawn chairs and blankets for this Friday, April 10th for a fun music event spotlighting a Beatles tribute band. The city of Irving is hosting a FREE outdoor Concert Series that will feature various tribute bands throughout this spring. If you have not yet visited Irving, this is great time to check out local shops and great eats that can be found downtown.
